A number of research studies have shown that children who have learned a second language, such as Zulu, at a young age demonstrate strong cognitive characteristics such as increased problem-solving skills, enhanced creativity, mental flexibility and the ability to multi-task. The old, traditional method in learning a language was to learn to read and write, but language is based on sounds and the only way to really master it is to hear and speak it. This is why the Learneo Zulu Programme is so effective. The Zulu video lessons make learning engaging as children are required to engage themselves throughout the video lessons. We use a variety of different methods to practise different skills. The children will listen to the audio content, hear the pronunciation of the Zulu words, mimic the sounds and start to see patterns in these videos. They will read whatever is on the screen, and repeat the words they hear in various lessons. They will also be completing activities after each lesson which will serve the purpose of letting them check whether they have learned the concepts that were taught in the lessons.
